According to the scholarship regulations, the annual scholarship review of 2020 will begin. The yearly review of International Students of Shanghai Maritime University covers students under the Chinese Government Scholarship, Shanghai Government Scholarship and Tianyuan Scholarship. This review is mandatory for both full scholarship and partial scholarship beneficiaries. Students who applied to extend their study period due to specific reasons are also required to partake in this review. The exempted students are those expected to graduate in July 2020.
The results of the scholarship review will determine the continuity of the student’s scholarship status for the next academic year. Students who fail to partake in this review will be regarded unqualified, and it will affect their scholarship status for the next academic year.
Procedure
1. Scholarship students should download “Form for Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status” and “Form for Annual Review of Shanghai Government Scholarship Status” and “Form for TianYuan Scholarship Status” from the attachment, fill it out and send a PDF version with an electronic signature to Ms Zheng (yqzheng@shmtu.edu.cn) before May 8th, 2020.
2. Each college completes a comprehensive assessment based on the student’s academic and overall performance.
3. The International Education College (International Students Office) will organize a scholarship review meeting to determine the outcome based on consideration of the student’s self-assessment and the assessment of their college.
4. International Education College (International Students Office) will release the review results before August.
